CRAFT RESIN Deep Pour Up to 5 cm Casting Epoxy 6L | Crystal Clear, Mix (2:1)
Craft Resin 6L Deep Pour Epoxy is a crystal-clear casting resin designed for medium-to-large river tables, timber projects, deep moulds, encapsulation and decorative wood castings. This versatile size is ideal for substantial home and workshop projects, supporting layers up to 5 cm deep with smooth, depth-rich, glass-like results.
- Up to 5 cm per layer — in wide, open moulds with good heat dissipation. Reduce to 3–4 cm in narrow or enclosed moulds, and for large projects mix in 2–3 kg batches rather than one large mass.
- Smooth self-leveling, bubble-release formula — optimized low-viscosity (600 cps) resin pours smoothly and helps reduce trapped bubbles.
- Easy, consistent mixing — simple 2:1 ratio by volume with extended working time (approximately 1 hour) for deep and large projects.
- Durable cure — cures in 48–72 hours (depending on temperature and mass). Full mechanical strength develops over about 21 days.
- Heat resistance — withstands heat up to 80°C once fully cured. This is a material property, not a guarantee against direct hot-pan contact — use a trivet for very hot items.
- Yellowing resistance — formulated for higher yellowing resistance than standard coating grades (manufacturer statement, no test method given).
- Low odour — like virtually all two-part epoxy systems, Deep Pour is not VOC-free. Work in a well-ventilated space and follow the applicable Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full handling guidance. Do not torch Deep Pour — avoid adding external heat to a deep reactive mass. Wear gloves: uncured resin can irritate skin and, with repeated contact, cause an allergic skin reaction.
- Food contact — in its uncured, liquid state Deep Pour should not come into contact with food or drink.
Kit includes: 6L total (4L resin + 2L hardener).

Product specifications
Ultra-clear, slow-curing Deep Pour Epoxy for river tables, thick castings, and deep pours where tabletop coatings can’t be used. Low-viscosity formula allows deep pours up to 5 cm per layer while helping control heat buildup during curing. This makes it ideal for projects that require large volumes of resin and exceptional clarity.
The formula self-levels naturally and allows trapped air to escape more easily, producing a smooth, crystal-clear finish with minimal bubbles. With a precise 2:1 mix ratio and working time of approximately 1 hour at 25 °C, it provides greater control when working on large moulds, river tables, and complex casting projects.
Once fully cured, the resin forms a durable, glass-like surface with excellent clarity, and is formulated for higher yellowing resistance than standard coating grades, according to the manufacturer (no test method stated). It is suitable for professional woodworking, decorative castings, and preservation projects such as embedding objects or preserving flowers.

What projects is the 6L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit best for?
The 6L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit is designed for larger resin projects, including river tables, live edge furniture, timber projects, deep moulds and large decorative castings. It is a great choice when you need a higher volume of epoxy for substantial woodworking and casting projects.
Is 6L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin suitable for river tables?
Yes. The 6L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit is ideal for medium-to-large river tables and live edge furniture projects where a larger amount of casting resin is required. It provides enough epoxy for deeper channels, wood slab filling and larger casting areas.
Does Craft Resin yellow over time?
Craft Resin is formulated to be yellowing-resistant and helps resist yellowing over time. It is not immune to yellowing — clarity is affected by prolonged direct sunlight — and we do not describe it as non-yellowing.
Can I use 6L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin for large wood projects?
Yes. The 6L kit is designed for woodworking applications such as timber casting, live edge tables, wood slab filling and larger furniture projects that require a significant amount of epoxy resin.
How do I know if 6L of Deep Pour Epoxy Resin is enough for my project?
The amount of Deep Pour Epoxy Resin you need depends on your mould dimensions, pour depth and the volume of wood or other materials inside your project. Use our Epoxy Resin Calculator to estimate the amount of resin required before choosing your kit size.
Should I choose 6L or a smaller Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit?
Smaller 1,5L kits are designed for smaller resin projects and creative casting, while the 6L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit is better suited for large river tables, timber projects, furniture builds and other applications requiring a larger amount of epoxy resin.
What is the difference between 6L and other Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit sizes?
The 6L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit is designed for larger projects that require more material, such as river tables, furniture and timber castings. Smaller 1,5L sizes are better suited for small moulds and creative projects, while larger-volume kits may be preferable for oversized professional applications.

What is the mixing ratio for Deep Pour Epoxy Resin?
Deep Pour Epoxy Resin is mixed 2:1 by volume — two parts resin to one part hardener. Measure by volume and mix thoroughly before pouring.
How deep can one layer of Deep Pour Epoxy Resin be?
Pour up to 5 cm per layer, in wide, open moulds with good heat dissipation. Deeper castings are built up in several layers.
How long is the working time for Deep Pour Epoxy Resin?
Approximately 1 hour at 25°C. Larger mixed volumes reduce the working time, so plan the pour before mixing.
How long does Deep Pour Epoxy Resin take to cure?
It cures in 48–72 hours, depending on temperature and the mass of the pour. Do not demould before 48 hours. Full mechanical strength develops over about 21 days.
