CRAFT RESIN Deep Pour Up to 5 cm Casting Epoxy 1.5L | Crystal Clear, Mix (2:1)
Craft Resin 1.5L Deep Pour Epoxy is a crystal-clear casting resin designed for small moulds, flower preservation, keepsakes, encapsulation and compact wood castings. Ideal for smaller projects and first-time deep pours, it supports layers up to 5 cm deep and creates smooth, depth-rich, glass-like results.
- Up to 5 cm per layer — in wide, open moulds with good heat dissipation. Reduce to 3–4 cm in narrow or enclosed moulds, and for large projects mix in 2–3 kg batches rather than one large mass.
- Smooth self-leveling, bubble-release formula — optimized low-viscosity (600 cps) resin pours smoothly and helps reduce trapped bubbles.
- Easy, consistent mixing — simple 2:1 ratio by volume with extended working time (approximately 1 hour) for deep and large projects.
- Durable cure — cures in 48–72 hours (depending on temperature and mass). Full mechanical strength develops over about 21 days.
- Heat resistance — withstands heat up to 80°C once fully cured. This is a material property, not a guarantee against direct hot-pan contact — use a trivet for very hot items.
- Yellowing resistance — formulated for higher yellowing resistance than standard coating grades (manufacturer statement, no test method given).
- Low odour — like virtually all two-part epoxy systems, Deep Pour is not VOC-free. Work in a well-ventilated space and follow the applicable Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full handling guidance. Do not torch Deep Pour — avoid adding external heat to a deep reactive mass. Wear gloves: uncured resin can irritate skin and, with repeated contact, cause an allergic skin reaction.
- Food contact — in its uncured, liquid state Deep Pour should not come into contact with food or drink.
Kit includes: 1.5L total (1L + 0.5L hardener).

Product specifications
Ultra-clear, slow-curing Deep Pour Epoxy for river tables, thick castings, and deep pours where tabletop coatings can’t be used. Low-viscosity formula allows deep pours up to 5 cm per layer while helping control heat buildup during curing. This makes it ideal for projects that require large volumes of resin and exceptional clarity.
The formula self-levels naturally and allows trapped air to escape more easily, producing a smooth, crystal-clear finish with minimal bubbles. With a precise 2:1 mix ratio and working time of approximately 1 hour at 25 °C, it provides greater control when working on large moulds, river tables, and complex casting projects.
Once fully cured, the resin forms a durable, glass-like surface with excellent clarity, and is formulated for higher yellowing resistance than standard coating grades, according to the manufacturer (no test method stated). It is suitable for professional woodworking, decorative castings, and preservation projects such as embedding objects or preserving flowers.

What projects can I make with the 1,5L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit?
The 1,5L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit is ideal for smaller resin projects, including resin moulds, flower preservation, keepsakes, decorative casts and creative resin crafts. It is a great choice when you need a smaller amount of epoxy for detailed work.
Is 1,5L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin suitable for beginners?
Yes. The 1,5L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit is a great option for beginners and hobbyists learning deep pour techniques. It provides enough resin for smaller projects while allowing makers to practise casting techniques before moving on to larger epoxy resin kits.
Can I use the 1,5L kit for flower preservation?
Yes. The 1,5L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit is suitable for flower preservation projects, including dried flowers, wedding bouquets, memorial keepsakes and decorative resin pieces.
How do I know if 1,5L of Deep Pour Epoxy Resin is enough for my project?
The amount of Deep Pour Epoxy Resin you need depends on your mould size, pour depth and the space taken up by wood or other objects inside your project. Use our Epoxy Resin Calculator to estimate the amount of resin required before choosing your kit size.
Can I make a river table with 1,5L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin?
The 1,5L kit is best suited for smaller resin projects rather than large river tables. For larger woodworking projects, live edge tables or bigger casting projects, consider a larger Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit.
Should I choose the 1,5L or a larger Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit?
Choose the 1,5L Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit for smaller projects, resin moulds, flower preservation and decorative casts. For larger projects such as river tables, live edge furniture or bigger woodworking projects, a larger Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kit may be more suitable.
Explore our complete range of Deep Pour Epoxy Resin kits to compare sizes and find the right option for your project.
What is the mixing ratio for Deep Pour Epoxy Resin?
Deep Pour Epoxy Resin is mixed 2:1 by volume — two parts resin to one part hardener. Measure by volume and mix thoroughly before pouring.
How deep can one layer of Deep Pour Epoxy Resin be?
Pour up to 5 cm per layer, in wide, open moulds with good heat dissipation. Deeper castings are built up in several layers.
How long is the working time for Deep Pour Epoxy Resin?
Approximately 1 hour at 25°C. Larger mixed volumes reduce the working time, so plan the pour before mixing.
How long does Deep Pour Epoxy Resin take to cure?
It cures in 48–72 hours, depending on temperature and the mass of the pour. Do not demould before 48 hours. Full mechanical strength develops over about 21 days.
