Ren is one of the most admired resin artists working in the UK today. If you have seen her ocean and beach themed pieces you will know why; if you have not, her feed is the place to start:
Born and raised in the heart of London and of Turkish background, Ren has always had a creative side to her.
Going back to when she was a child, she was obsessed with art and design. It was that passion that led her first to a degree in Interior Architecture, and then to a Diploma in Architecture (RIBA Part II) at CASS, London Metropolitan University.
Ren obtained two scholarship trips with Maurice Mitchell's ARCSR (Architecture of Rapid Change and Scarce Resources) through CASS, and had the privilege of working, both as a student and as a research assistant, in a peri-urban settlement in Nepal that was greatly affected by the 2015 earthquake.
Looking for a new creative outlet to sink her teeth into, Ren found herself exploring the world of epoxy resin art. She loved the challenge immediately, and it turned out she had picked up some tricks nobody else had thought of yet.
Ren made resin pieces for herself, for friends and for family, and the requests kept coming until those same friends and family started telling her to open an online store. It was a big step to take, and just a few months later she had sent her work all over the world.
Ren feels she has finally found something that is genuinely hers. She is being creative, learning new skills, and she is excited to wake up each morning and start a new day.
